Judge Messina is a licensed attorney by the Texas Supreme court for over 35 years. A 1985 graduate from Baylor University School of Law Judge Messina  is a Fellow in the State Bar of Texas Foundation, a former director in the Judicial Section of the State Bar of Texas and is currently the Chairman of the membership committee of the Judicial Section. Judge Messina is certified as a mediator by the American Association of Professional Mediators and has served on a general jurisdiction trial court bench for the past 20 years.

Prior to taking the bench Judge  Messina served as a State and County prosecutor for 12 years and is dual board certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial law. Over the course of 20 years on the bench Judge Messina has adjudicated thousands of Family, Civil , and Criminal cases. He is available to mediate family law cases, complex civil and personal injury case and probate cases.

Additionally Judge Messina is available by appointment as a “Special Judge”  under chapter 151 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code to hear complex Family and Civil cases in the North Texas area.
